    REPAIRS AND SERVICES

    Parravans Caravan World has been active in the caravan industry since we began in 1962. Not long after our repair section commenced – we have had a lot of experience!
    Parravans has a fully equipped workshop to handle bearing services, awning repairs and replacement, HWS anodes and much more. Our technicians also do repairs from minor dents to more serious accidents and hail damage. Our lifetime guarantee with all insurance work makes Parravans one of the leaders in our field. We work closely with insurance companies to make your claim process as easy as possible.
    Remember – routine maintenance helps keep you and your van safe on the road.

    Parravans offers either a standard or a premium service to check bearings and brakes, etc.

    STANDARD SERVICE

  • Clean, inspect and repack wheel bearings.
  • Check condition of brake assembly (magnets, brakes, shoes) wear & tear.
  • Adjust brake shoes and park brake.
  • Check suspension and pivot points.
  • Check tyre pressure and wear (alignment may be required).
  • Tension wheel nuts.
  • Visual inspection of chassis condition/stabilizers (costs may apply).
  • Check coupling operation.
  • Check all road lights.
  • Visual inspection of sealant and waterproofing (costs may apply)
  • Check operation of Brake Safe (if applicable)
  • PREMIUM SERVICE

    Check alignment of doors and windows (and report if necessary) .

  • Check operation of poptop/hatches.
  • Visual inspection for water leaks. Apply sealant if signs of non-adhesion/deterioration are evident.
  • Check operation of appliances.
  • Check all cupboard locks and catches (adjust if necessary).
  • Check smoke alarm operation and fire extinguisher valid.
  • Check all interior lights.
  • Clean, inspect and repack wheel bearings.
  • Check condition of brake assembly.
  •  Adjust brake shoes and park brake and check operation.
  • Check suspension and pivot points.
  • Check tyre pressure and wear (alignment may be required).
  • Tension wheel nuts.
  • Visual inspection of chassis condition. (costs may apply)
  • Check operation of stabilizer legs and coupling.
  • Check all road lights.
  • Check all plumbing lines secured.
  • Leak test gas system.
  • Check battery condition (volts…) charge if necessary).
  • Check operation of awning (if fitted).
  • Wash caravan.

  • ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING IF SELECTED
  • De-rust and paint drawbar and stabilizers.
  • Fill gas bottle.
  • Securing of electrical, gas and plumbing lines.
  • Operation of awning if parts required.
